Plans and billing
What Seed, Pro and Business unlock, when the free trial ends and what happens then, VAT 7%, withholding tax, and where to find your tax invoices.
Last updated 2026-10-29
Plans, payment and tax invoices live in the customer portal at seedwebs.com/dashboard, not the admin panel. The admin panel ({slug}.seedwebs.app/admin/) manages content only and never names the plan; you see its effects — which menus appear, which fields are disabled, the trial banner (Admin panel overview).
Checkout is not open yet
Payment is switched off in production. Both payment routes refuse the request and answer “Purchasing is not open yet.”, so there is currently no way to buy a plan yourself.
The Upgrade plan page (/dashboard/billing?site={slug}) has no payment button. It shows a note saying payment is coming soon, and confirms your site keeps working as normal.
To buy a plan or discuss a quote, ask the SeedWebs team (Contact the team). Questions about an invoice already issued go to [email protected].
The rest of this page describes what each plan unlocks, and how billing and tax invoices work once checkout opens.
The plans
A site’s plan is one of five values.
| plan | Meaning |
|---|---|
trial | The free trial. Every new site starts here |
expired_trial | The trial ended with no plan chosen, or a paid plan lapsed |
seed | The entry-level paid plan |
pro | Adds multi-language and the product catalogue |
business | Adds orders, members and newsletters |
Annual prices, before VAT 7%:
| Plan | List price | With the annual discount (founders) |
|---|---|---|
| Seed | ฿3,900 | ฿2,700 |
| Pro | ฿6,900 | ฿4,800 |
| Business | ฿9,900 | ฿6,900 |
The annual discount (formerly called the founders or founding-member price) attaches to the buying account. A first purchase made on or before 30 November 2026 (23:59 Thai time) gets it, and once granted it is recorded on the account permanently. That purchase and every renewal after it get at least 30% off the list price — today, the prices in the table above. What is guaranteed is the discount rate: if list prices change in future, a renewal is priced at the list price on the renewal date, less this discount. A first purchase after that date is at list price.
Note: if your site was set up under a SeedWebs reseller account, payment goes through the reseller, and the wholesale price applies instead of the annual discount when the reseller pays. The two do not stack.
What each plan unlocks
This is the plan permission straight up. ✓ means that plan allows it.
| Content type | trial | expired_trial | Seed | Pro | Business |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pages | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Posts | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Media | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Sliders | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Events | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Docs | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Books | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Staff | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Forms | ✓ | – | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
Store, product catalogue (ecommerce) | ✓ | – | – | ✓ | ✓ |
Orders and coupons (orders) | ✓ | – | – | – | ✓ |
| Members | ✓ | – | – | – | ✓ |
| Newsletters | ✓ | – | – | – | ✓ |
Two things people get wrong:
- The store is two separate permissions. The catalogue (products, categories, brands, attributes, templates) sits under
ecommerce; orders and coupons sit underorders. That is why Pro has a catalogue but no order back office. - The trial grants nearly everything, including store, orders, members and newsletters, though checkout is test-only. Some of that goes away when you move to Seed or Pro.
A plan permission does not show a menu by itself: a new site has only Pages, Posts and Media on, and anything else your plan allows (Sliders, Store, Forms) you switch on at Settings → General → Features (/admin/settings/general, super_admin and admin only). Its URL while off says ”… is not enabled”, linking to the settings page.
And one more layer: the per-site experimental flag
These content types stay hidden until the SeedWebs team turns on the experimental flag for your site individually. It has nothing to do with your plan.
Events · Docs · Books · Staff · Members · Newsletters · Tours
It shows up in two different ways:
- Events, Docs, Books and Staff are permitted on every plan, but they appear neither in the sidebar nor in the Features list at Settings → General until the flag is on.
- Members and Newsletters need both the plan (Business, or the trial) and the flag. Missing either one, the API answers 403.
Tours are in no plan’s permissions at all. The experimental flag is the only way to get them.
Other plan limits
| Thing | trial | expired_trial | Seed | Pro | Business |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Storage | 1 GB | 1 GB | 1 GB | 20 GB | 200 GB |
| Newsletter emails per month | 100 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 10,000 |
| Multi-language | Yes | Yes | No | Yes | Yes |
| API tokens, MCP, bulk writes over the API | Yes | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Store checkout with real money | No, test mode | No | No | No | Yes |
| Your own domain | No | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Details worth knowing:
- Storage counts every file in the media library. Upload past the quota and the file is refused, with your usage and limit. See Media library.
- The email quota counts that calendar month’s sent emails in the site’s email log, visible at Logs → Email (
/admin/logs/email). On a plan whose quota is 0, sending a newsletter is not possible at all. - Multi-language — on Seed the add-language field at Settings → General → Languages (
/admin/settings/general) is disabled, with a note that it needs Pro or Business. Sending extra languages straight to the API does not save them either. - Your own domain needs a paid plan and the experimental flag. See Your own domain.
- Test mode on the trial: the shop checkout offers only a Stripe
sk_test_key, PayPal Sandbox or Beam Playground, no bank transfer; tour bookings refuse live gateways. Live keys charge on Business (shop) or any paid plan (tours). - API tokens, MCP and bulk API writes: tokens at Tools → API Tokens (
/admin/tools/api-tokens), AI app connections at Tools → Connected Apps. See Connect an AI assistant.
Backups at Tools → Backup (/admin/tools/backup) and the WordPress import at Tools → Import (/admin/tools/import) are not tied to a plan — a different thing from the bulk API above. They are tied to your role (super_admin and admin only). See Users and permissions.
The free trial
Every new site starts on trial, and an account may have one trial site. With one already, creating another is refused.
Right now every trial site shares a single end date, overriding whatever is stored on the individual site — so every trial site expires on the same day regardless of when it was created. Your site’s card at seedwebs.com/dashboard counts down the days remaining, and the exact date is stated in the Terms of Service. Those are the two places to check; this guide deliberately does not repeat the date, so it cannot fall out of step with the platform.
What you see during the trial:
- The site’s card at
seedwebs.com/dashboardshows the days left. - At 7 days or fewer, a yellow warning bar appears with a link to the upgrade page.
- In the admin panel, under the site name at the top of the sidebar, a yellow “Beta preview / pre-launch access” bar for as long as the site is on
trial.
When the trial ends
Three steps, in order:
- On the next request to the site, the plan changes to
expired_trial. The public site stays up, but permissions narrow to theexpired_trialcolumn above: Forms, Store, Orders, Members and Newsletters switch off, and API tokens and MCP stop working. - The next 7 days are a grace period. You can still edit content within the remaining permissions.
- After those 7 days with no plan chosen, the site is suspended. The public site shows “Site Suspended” with a button to choose a plan, and every API route answers that the site is suspended.
Nothing is deleted when a site is suspended. Once paid, the site returns to active immediately and the trial end date is cleared.
On the portal, a suspended site’s card offers a link to choose a plan and a link to delete the site (with a confirmation first).
When a paid plan approaches renewal
Paid plans are annual, invoiced annually. There is no automatic charge at renewal — SeedWebs emails you with a link to that site’s payment page.
| Timing | What happens |
|---|---|
| 30 days before | Email with the expiry date and a renewal link |
| 7 days before | A second reminder |
| On the day | Email saying it expires today, and that there is a 14-day grace period |
| Day + 1 | The 14-day grace period starts, with an email |
| Day + 15 | The plan drops to expired_trial, with an email saying the site is locked |
A site downgraded for a lapsed plan does not have its public site suspended — unlike a site whose trial ran out. Its plan features close down to the expired_trial column, all data stays, and you can buy again at any time.
If your account already holds the annual discount, renewals get it automatically, because that entitlement is recorded on the buying account.
Refer a friend
Every account has its own link on the portal’s Refer a friend page. A friend who opens it, creates a site within 30 days and has never bought a plan counts as yours. When they pay for their first yearly plan, you get discount credit worth 10% of what they paid before VAT, once per friend.
It comes off your next purchase or renewal automatically, before VAT (the tax invoice shows it as a discount), and never expires. It cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred, and it is taken back if that purchase is refunded. Full rules: the Terms, “Referring a friend”.
VAT 7% and withholding tax
Every plan price is pre-tax. VAT 7% is calculated on the price after any discount, and shown as its own line both in the checkout summary and on the tax invoice.
We do not ask you to withhold tax. Individuals and companies both pay the full amount including VAT. SeedGrit Co., Ltd. is promoted by the Board of Investment (BOI), so payments for this service are not subject to withholding tax. A copy of the BOI promotion certificate (No. 69-1637-2-00-5-0) is at https://seedwebs.com/legal/boi-promotion-certificate.pdf, open without signing in. The same link is on the checkout page, on the IV- invoice for a bank transfer and under your invoice list at seedwebs.com/dashboard/billing/invoices (once you have an invoice), so you can pass it straight to your accounts team. If your company’s accounts team still needs to withhold, contact [email protected] before you pay and we will handle it case by case.
Worked example — Pro with the annual discount:
| Line | Amount (THB) |
|---|---|
| List price | 6,900.00 |
| Annual discount | -2,100.00 |
| Pre-tax amount | 4,800.00 |
| VAT 7% | +336.00 |
| You pay | 5,136.00 |
Payment is handled by Beam, a Thai payment provider. On the checkout page you can pay by credit or debit card, PromptPay QR, mobile banking (SCB Easy, K PLUS, Krungsri) or an e-wallet (LINE Pay, TrueMoney, ShopeePay and others). Card details are entered on Beam’s own page — they never reach SeedWebs.
Or choose bank transfer on the checkout page (when offered): an invoice IV-YYYYMM-#### arrives at once by email and on its own page, with the amount, the bank account and a due date 7 days out — a request for payment, not a tax invoice. Put the IV- number in the transfer note; once the team confirms the money the plan starts and the tax invoice follows by email. Its price holds until the due date; a new checkout for the same site cancels it.
Tax invoice details
These belong to your user account rather than to a site, and they are what gets copied onto the tax invoice. You fill them in on the annual checkout page (/dashboard/billing/checkout?site=your-site).
A company always gets a full tax invoice and must give:
| Field | Condition |
|---|---|
| Company name | As on the registration certificate, up to 300 characters |
| VAT-registered | Ticked to start with. Untick it if the company is not registered for VAT |
| Tax ID | 13 digits. The check digit is validated; you may paste it with hyphens or spaces. With VAT-registered ticked, the page looks the number (and the branch you typed) up in the Revenue Department’s VAT register: it fills in the address while the address fields are empty, and otherwise shows what the register has with a “Use this name and address” button. You can still check and edit everything before saving |
| Branch | VAT-registered companies only. 5 digits; the field starts at 00000 (head office) and can be changed |
| Address | Address (house no., moo, soi, road), sub-district, province and postal code are required; district is optional. Up to 1,000 characters in total |
An individual always gives first name, last name and address, because the tax invoice is always issued in the buyer’s name. The national ID number is optional (if given, it is checked as a valid 13-digit number). If you are registered for VAT yourself, tick “VAT-registered” (it starts unticked) and give your Tax ID and branch.
Government agencies, public universities and state enterprises cannot buy through the checkout page. Ask the SeedWebs team (Contact the team).
Worth knowing:
- These details are entered, and changed, on the checkout page only. Check them before you pay. If something on a paid purchase is wrong, ask the SeedWebs team (Contact the team) and they correct it; for your next purchase (after a move, say) you change them yourself on that checkout page.
- The payment button stays disabled until the required details are filled in.
- The details are locked while a payment is in progress, with a message asking you to try again in a few minutes.
- The annual-discount entitlement is stored with these details. SeedWebs sets it on your first qualifying payment; it cannot be edited by hand.
Tax invoices and receipts
Every invoice on your account is at seedwebs.com/dashboard/billing/invoices. There is no menu link yet — type the address directly.
The table has six columns: Number, Date, Type, Paid, Status and Action.
The statuses you may see:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending / Processing | Started, but payment is not confirmed |
| Paid | Paid |
| WHT Pending | Paid, and you have sent a withholding tax certificate that we have not checked yet |
| WHT Received | We have checked the certificate |
| Closed | Closed |
| Voided / Refunded | Cancelled, or refunded |
Every paid purchase gets an electronic tax invoice (tax invoice / receipt) from the e-Tax system of บริษัท ซี้ดกริท จำกัด (SeedGrit Co., Ltd.), the company that sells SeedWebs plans.
It is issued in the name and address you entered at checkout, for a company and an individual alike.
The tax invoice is emailed to your account email from [email protected], separately from the payment confirmation email from SeedWebs, usually within 3 business days. ETDA’s time-stamped copy may come separately from [email protected]. Check spam for both.
On the invoices page, the Number column reads “Tax invoice being issued” until it is issued, then shows the tax invoice number, and the Action column says it was emailed. The file cannot be downloaded from this page yet — use the ones in the emails.
If the name or address on it is wrong, ask the SeedWebs team (Contact the team) to correct it; for your next purchase you change the details yourself on the checkout page.
If we refund a purchase, the team issues a credit note separately, and that site’s plan drops to expired_trial. Refunds are done by the SeedWebs team; they cannot be started from the portal. If you think a purchase should be refunded, ask the SeedWebs team (Contact the team).
What the tax invoice shows
- The seller: บริษัท ซี้ดกริท จำกัด, with its tax ID, branch and address
- The buyer, as entered at checkout
- The tax invoice number and date — the date of payment
- The line item — SeedWebs Pro Plan (รายปี), for example — at list price, with any discount (the annual discount or another) on the same line
- Pre-tax amount, VAT 7%, and the total
Withholding tax certificates (50 ทวิ)
There is nothing to send: we do not ask you to withhold tax (see the VAT section above). If your company has already withheld, contact [email protected] and we will take the certificate case by case.
Policies in short
The plan and billing rules of the Terms of Service (https://seedwebs.com/terms), as SeedWebs applies them today:
- Annual, never renewed automatically. A paid plan runs for one year, and nothing is charged unless you pay yourself. Renewal emails with a payment link arrive 30 days before the end, 7 days before and on the day, then a grace period follows (see When a paid plan approaches renewal above).
- Renewing early. Checkout accepts a renewal from 30 days before the plan ends, and the new year starts when the current one ends, so no paid day is lost. Earlier than that, checkout refuses and says the site already has a paid plan.
- Changing plan mid-year. Not possible from the portal. Ask the SeedWebs team (Contact the team).
- Refunds. Fees are not refundable except where the law requires it. A refund is made by the SeedWebs team only (see Tax invoices and receipts).
- Deleting a site. There is no “cancel account” button in Settings or anywhere else. The owner deletes a site from its card at
seedwebs.com/dashboard: the delete link appears on the card once the site is suspended, and asks for confirmation. To delete a site that is still running, ask the team. - Keeping a copy first. On every plan, a Super Admin or Admin can download the site’s content as one JSON file at Tools → Import / Export (
/admin/tools/import). Images are not inside that file (see What SeedWebs does not have).
